Her actual name is Surprise. She is a beautiful 10 year-old girl, with the most beautiful name and the most beautiful smile, one who will bring joy into your life if you choose to become her long-distance parent for a year.
She needs a dress, a batch of food and your faith in her.
This sweet little boy needs a long-distance parent, he is a full orphan, but so far he has been out of luck. Meanwhile, if anyone wishes to offer this little boy (he is just 4 years old) a one-time donation of food, please know that you are MORE than welcome!
A sweet little 4-year-old boy, Kagere Shakiru, red shorts ❤ A 7-year-old Minecraft-lover who has never seen Minecraft anywhere except on his t-shirt, worn until torn – Magumba Akuram ❤ A little princess, 7 years old, unable to smile, looking at us all with eyes full of wonder – Nampina Bushira
Perhaps one of them will speak to your heart.
You can donate for any of them via PayPal to:

Don’t forget to include your email, so that I can send you photos and letters from the children!
This adorable little girl is not even two years old. Her mother died after having given birth to her, and her father cared for her for only one year or so, after which he dumped her at the doorstep of some relatives.
Very luckily, those relatives are some of the most amazing people in HOCT family – the household of our bright, beautiful albino buy Munyira Asuman, and his loving grandmother. They did not hesitate to take this baby inside and look after her.
She is just a little button. She deserves to be cared for and loved as she deserves.
I am looking for a committed sponsor for Baby Justine Mary, to care for her and nurture her and feed her. They have a good house (we fixed it ourselves) and no other needs for now – just food.
Send a small amount for food for baby Mary and try the experience of being a part of HOCT, of our family!
Some of the children we are working on, each day, are doing very well, thriving, happy, smiling. Some others are very ill, but we love them all just the same and we fight for each little life.
The merit is not ours.
The merit belongs to all the people who give a little bit (a very little bit) of their monthly income, to help a child grow.
We have friends that have supported their children for years. Just earlier, together with RoseAnne, we were looking at the photo of one of her boys and we were wondering: How much he’s grown!
The reason for which those children grow – the reason for which they STAY ALIVE, the reason is that you choose to offer them food.
There is a special person that does not have Facebook or other social media, and that follows us through our website. Each month, she sends donations fot the children who have lost sponsorship for some reasons, or who never received anything.
Luma does not want anything. No photos, no smiles, no praise. But she deserves them. She deserves them because does her part, in this wounded word, she wants to change something – HOCT is just lucky to have received her act of incredible, continued kindness, but I know she helps many others. I am so grateful that she does.
So yes, just enjoy those photos; they may look boring and “same old, same old” but in each of them there is a child who, thanks to someone out there, has food and WILL survive.
This beautiful little girl, Mutesi Nasimu, is 10 years old (the age of my daughter at home). She is beautiful and delicate like a flower. She has had a lovely lady sponsor until very recently, but unfortunately she is going through very tough personal situation and she cannot help Nasimu any longer.
Nasimu needs 20 euros per month. She would need a few one-time donations so that we put together a few months of support, or a dedicated long-distance parent who would want to take care of this beautiful flower.
I love Nasimu very much, and her previous sponsor is very dear to me, so I know I would also put her mind at ease.
You can donate for Nasimu via PayPal at:
contact@helponechildthrive.com
By using the same address, you can write if you are interested in becoming her long-distance parent.
How do you become a long-distance parent and join HOCT?
HOCT is a large family of children and long-distance parents who work together in complete harmony. If you feel that this year you want to do something truly special, then you can choose to support a child from Uganda too. A small amount (usually, what you’d spend on a shopping spree on Saturday morning) – let’s say, 25 euros, is more than enough for those children to survive for a month.
HOCT is a safe place to be with. We are a registered charity that has completely legal forms and procedures and is validated by authorities and anti-money-laundering mechanisms. I will tell you and show you what happens to your funds, in the smallest detail (that is humanly possible).
You will receive monthly pictures, you will be able to see your child thrive and change, you will be able to talk on the phone, on video. You will build a bond. It is beautiful at HOCT.
Babirye (in white dress) and Muminu (little boy with a tie) do not have parents, and they are waiting for you with love.
